Storms, wild water and rustling leaves!

It is December 1st!
It is the last month of the last year of this first decade in the millenium! Wow!

It has been cold and rainy and relatively gray today here in Barcelona. The American Thanksgiving has just passed, Barça beat Madrid in their first meeting this season and Christmas lights are about to light up the entire city! There is no snow but there are lots of rustling leaves swirling round and round, battered and bounced from tree to tree.

I am lucky enough to see the wonderful Mediterranean every morning I leave my flat, and today it was robust! Wild water whipped up against the shore. Inviting, powerful ... just so much energy. It invigorates me. I feel so blessed to be able to see it´s steely grey waves wash up one after another, never ceasing, interminable.

Oddly enough, it reminds me of my own Lake Superior, on the other side of the great big ocean divide. Vast, so vast you
couldn´t see the other side. One moment turquoise -blue, the next steely grey just like the waters of today. Powerful, oh so powerful.

It´s a bizarre kind-of- protagonism, when you can feel so much love for two places so very different yet strangely connected.
It´s just me, my love and my memories which gives life to this connection.
